This is most unusual, I must admit.
(see posting date above and the time below, and then, think about it)
Yes. It's most certainly true.
It's Saturday night and I'm at home. In front of a computer. By myself. Writing a blog that most of the world will never care to read.
Insanity, isn't it? Couldn't we at least agree to call it that?
I don't remember the last time I stayed home on a Saturday night. And that's not being said for any self-serving reasons, but because regardless of if I do or don't want to go out, I still force myself to on Friday and Saturday nights. Mostly because otherwise, I feel like I'm missing out on something fun. And heck, I like fun.
Anyways, the point is that I'm happy about my decision (you know, to stay home - I get a little off-track sometimes).
Saturday Night Live followed by Larry King Live is quite the contrast of culture and well, television programming, however, its entertainment value for me is unparalleled.
Over the last few days, I've realized a great thing. I really enjoy watching world-class soccer. And I emphasize world-class because the MLS ain't no world-class nothin'. In fact, I've contemplated living in Europe for a few years in my upcoming late 20s, and now, soccer and English premier leagues might be the kicker in ending that discussion. Pun intentional.
I'm happy about this because it's always exciting to follow a new sport. Now the only four sports I'll watch just for pure entertainment (regardless of matchups etc.) will consist of basketball, football, golf, and soccer. However, I must confess, I have also recently enjoyed horse racing, although the human isn't really doing anything athletic. Riding a horse, sure, but what are they really doing? Horse racing is in the "animal sport" category. Which is a pretty short list. So short that I can't even think of anything else worth mentioning from that category.
I need to put this rambling to an end. At least for now.
Cheers.
